Large Radius dimensions in Drawings

Recommended Posts

Hello;

quick question that I hope is not too simple.

If I have a part with a large radius on it, when I dimension the curve, the centerline is off the sheet and looks amateurish. Would there be a way to trim the dimension line so that it only extends off the part a short way?

Thank you in advance for the advice. I appreciate the time.

In Autocad Vanilla you would use the DIMJOGGED command, which lets you select a center location override.

I realize that you are using Inventor, should think there must be a way to do it.

Your profile says you are using Inventor 2008, did you mean to post this in the SOLIDWORKS forum?

Perhaps a moderator could relocate the thread?

Two options for this problem.

Click on the dimension, or right click on the dimension.
