ChloeG Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 huh? Im sorry you guys, that makes no sense to meee. lol. I am a total beginner. well not total but yeah. what im trying to say is - when i move materials off toolpalettee for instance to the materials tab on the render toolbar. the material doesnt come up like they did on autocad architecture. All i get is the colour of the material. e.g if i picked wood. my object will turn brown. no texture no nothing. papagyi, im not sure what you are on about. where do i attach material map? thanksssss Quote
papagyi Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 For material attach ....http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/tutorials/level_3/3-14.htm For mapping ....http://www.we-r-here.com/cad/tutorials/level_3/3-13.htm Then you should study all this tutorials. Quote
ChloeG Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 I know all about these we have done them as excerises in my class thanks though the problem is, when i try to apply a material on my personal laptop using autocad, i t doesnt work. All i see is a colour. but when i've done that same tutorial on a computer in the university using autocad architecture it worked just fine. Quote

papagyi Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Your texture problem were be rendering or visual view? My second link is "papagyi, im not sure what you are on about. where do i attach material map?" for your question!...my idea is are you sure suitable material mapping to your object before adjust material scale? Then you should set material scale according to your object size.If not ,can you post your dwg with problem part only?
