MENULOAD Not the Same With Ribbon

We're about to upgrade all the systems in this office to the latest AutoCAD which would be 2014, or 2015. The first thing I noticed is that some people now want to use the Ribbon. Okay that's cool, but I have a custom menu which works well on the AutoCAD classic workspace.

This morning after noticing some troubles with my AutoCAD 2013 I did a reinitialize and reset everything to factory settings. I then did MENULOAD and loaded the custom menu while the Ribbon interface was active. What I discovered was that the custom menu I loaded was no where to be found. So I set the workspace back to AutoCAD classic and there was my custom menu.

So the question becomes how can I get a custom menu item to appear if the user chooses to run with the Ribbon?

Is this a drop-down menu you are referring to that appears on the menu bar?

Yes, it is a drop-down menu that appears in the menu bar across the top of the AutoCAD window. But that's only when using the AutoCAD Classic view. I know when the new copies of AutoCAD are installed some of the users will want to go with the Ribbon. I have found a few tutorials on this and I'm reading up on them now.

Did you activate the Menu Bar in the work space(s) that utilize the Ribbon? I know a lot of users do not do this and if they do they forget to save it as part of their workspace.

A biit further to Remarks Up top if you have your workspace button showing there is a little down arrow next to it one option is Hide menu change it,if that doesn't work the second thing the cui does some funny stuff sometimes go to the users workspace right hand side of CUI click edit then go back to left side partial menu and make sure the menu button is on, check the user side, menus should now appear Done save workspace.

At times we have random menus disappear so we are getting better at finding the the little buttons.
