Hello

I have been using different versions of AutoCAD for the last almost 10 years, but only 2D versions. I also know using 3D programs such as 3D Studio Max and some free versions, so here is my question:

Will it be difficult to learn how to use AutoCAD 3D myself with my experience? What advantace does AutoCAD 3D have against other programs, for example 3D Studio?

I need advice, I have an Internship for a few months and I would like to take advance of it and learn as much as I can to improve my resumee

Thank you

Well 3D in AutoCAD and 3D Studio are completely different. I guess the choice will depend on what you want to do with it.

Yes, I guess I would have to extrude the 2D drawing and once I have it in AutoCAD 3D export it to 3D Studio or someone similar to give lights and materials, is that correct?

Materials and lights can be added to a 3D model in AutoCAD as well. The advantage to using a different program, such as 3ds Max for example, would be that in most cases users will find it easier to do and in the process get better results.
