RobDraw Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I've been trying to draw without the command line visible and am liking it. Have been using F2 if I need it while in a command but am finding the text window a bit obtrusive. It also gets hidden when you click in the drawing area. Is there a way to activate the command line transparently? If you are in a command, Ctrl+9 cancels it. Quote
rkmcswain Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Are you still using 2011 as your profile says? If so, this doesn't really help you any, but the 2013 command line enhancements may be what you are after: http://www.ccadinc.com/autocad-tutorials-2013-commandline.html Quote
Dadgad Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I forget if transparency of the commandline was available in 2011. If it is an available option, you might enjoy using it. Quote
RobDraw Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Sorry, just started using 2014. Quote
RobDraw Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Just tried using the transparency set to "Clear" and am liking it more than what I thought I was looking for. I had the answer in my question but had it applied differently. Quote

I had the answer in my question but had it applied differently. I don't use it myself, but it is pretty convenient, particularly helpful working on a small screen. Nice that it is mouse over activated. I also don't like or use the View Cube, but the same transparency settings can be used with it, meaning it can be nonintrusive, yet available with mouse over. Glad you like it. Quote
RobDraw Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 All the ACAD I do anymore is 2D. I have no use for the View Cube, so I turn it off. Quote
