vertical horizons Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I am attempting to create a sheet metal top that is folded downward on all 4 sides. All 4 of the folds have the same dimensions. I built this, but it only has 2 of the folds. I do not know how to create this, with it having 4 folds. How do you create a Solidworks part that is sheet metal, and has 4 folds, instead of 2? I have enclosed the Solidworks part, a an image to illustrate where the folds should be. Tank Top.SLDPRT Quote

vertical horizons Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 Thanks, JD. I can always count on you to come up with an answer. I just now figured out an easier way to accomplish this. (Or, at least, easier for me.) I just use Sheet Metal > EDGE FLANGE. I select the edge that I want to add the fold to. Select what radius I want. Choose which direction I want the fold to go to. Select Flange Position, and it's done. Thanks, again, JD. I'm sure that I'll have more questions. Quote
