OMEGA-ThundeR Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hi, Probably an issue adressed many times. But is there a fix for this problem allready? it's the first time i see it in Autocad 2014, and i've seen it in many version before it... Reading the internet it could have something to do with a faulty hatch or the high density of it. Turning up HPMAXLINES to 1000000 or something doesn't help, but thats more to make sure dense hatches stay in there pattern and do not turn in a solid. In case you don't know what i mean, when you select multiple grips (shift+left click on vertex) and pan or zoom the selection is removed. The only way to work then is zoom to a workable level, select al, click on one of the grips and zoom/pan after that. But it's annoying as **** . There must be an explanation after all those years to fix it... right???? Quote
RobDraw Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Just tried this in MEP 2014 and it works fine here. I even panned the selected grips off screen and added more objects and grips without losing the previous ones. There was another thread about this recently. Don't know if a fix was found. Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 It's more a bug then something you can create. It is however drawing specific, if it's not in the DWG then there is no problem, but once it get's in there it won't go away, not even on an other computer... Quote
SLW210 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Can you post a drawing that exhibits this behavior? Quote
RobDraw Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 That tells me it is variable that is saved in the drawing. If you could get a list of variables that are saved in drawings, I would take a look at it and try to narrow it down. Even if it meant going through quite a few just to try them out. Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Well it must be something i can see in the drawing, when i delete everything (control+A) the selection works fine afterwards. Upload limit is 500kb, and i can't size it down so much.. Quote
Dadgad Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 You might want to check your GRIPOBJLIMIT variable setting, as described in the screenshot. Quote

Dana W Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Are you doing "Command" then "Select" or "Select" then "Command"? I have experienced this situation if I invoke the command, such as "Move" before selecting objects, But never if I do my selecting before invoking a command. If the system variable PICKFIRST = 1, you should be able to select multiple objects, one at a time, or in small groups while panning and zooming all over the place without losing any, then invoking a command. OMEGA-ThundeR Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 i'll try later . wetransfer or something. Quote
RobDraw Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Dana, this is about selecting multiple grips. But it might be worth checking out to see if other types of selections do the same thing. Quote
