ReMark Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 You're trying to create an elevation marker that will "automatically" display the elevation depending on its position in a drawing? Quote
rengised Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Hi Remark, thank you for the reply. it is not as per the position of the drawing. i a gonna used the marker for our sections and elevations. the attached cad file is good. but i dont know how to do it from scratch. i want to modify and add some additional attributes. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Your drawing contains a block. Explode it, edit it, add your attributes then create a new block. Quote
rengised Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Hi Remark, ok thanks very much. ill try tomorrow. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Have you looked on your Tool Palettes (either the Architectural or Annotation tabs)? You'll find some dynamic blocks that may suit your purposes. Quote
steven-g Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Your example has field formulas, which are dependant on other fields for the value, what other attributes are you likely to want to add to your block? If you want it to work in other directions then it may be easier to create a couple of blocks set up for x, y and z axis, I would make a block that explodes on insert which itself has 2 blocks one being your reference (zero) marker, the second to show the difference in elevation from that reference, the second block would then be copied as needed for more elevation points as they would still read the base point.
