muck Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Every time I draw a line, rectangle, etc. I get little gray boxes on my view screen that show line intersections in them. How do I get rid of them without clicking on the little x in the corner of them. I do not want them to appear on my screen every time I draw something. I am using AutoCAD 2013. Thank you, Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Might we be talking about "constraints"? I think so. Invoke the command DELCONSTRAINTS and follow the prompt. Disable Infer Constraints in your Tray. Bottom left hand corner of your screen. Should be the first icon. Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 This is what you are talking about is it not? Quote
muck Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Yes, that is what they are and I removed them. This brings up another question. What are "constraints" used for? Thank you, Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 To quote Edwin Prakoso "Geometric constraints will maintain how your objects related to each other." Here is a link to a simple tutorial by Ellen Finkelstein re: parametric constraints. http://www.ellenfinkelstein.com/acadblog/autocad-tutorial-use-parametric-constraints-to-constrain-models/ Quote
