evadtregnab Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I have a full library of bolts, nuts, washer, etc, and they are very handy not to have to redraw them when needed. I find that when I use these blocks during a machine assembly I do not wish to show hidden lines in the drawings for assemblies because the drawing can get to complex to the shop guys. It would be nice to have the bolt, nut and washer come into the drawing with a solid white background so that when I place a nut in the top view any line, hatches, etc, are covered over by the nut and are not seen. I now have to erase all the lines that are behind the nut to make the nut appear solid. Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) Your "hidden" lines are on a separate layer aren't they? Where did you go eva? I was hinting at the fact that if your blocks contained a "hidden" linetype layer it could be frozen in your drawing and the lines would not appear in your blocks.
