Butch Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Guys, I dont want to open another topic, but anyway that when hiting the undo button, zooming with scroll mouse button doesnt count? Quote
dbroada Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I can't answer (not sure the question) but new threads are better all round. Somebody else might be wanting to ask the same thing you have just asked. By burying it here they won't notice it and a search won't reveal it as a topic either. Quote
Butch Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 OK. The question is: Could the "zoom with scroll mouse botton" be excluded when hiting the undo button? Same goes for paning... Quote
jkristia Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I would like to know that too. Undo - redo is one of the weirdest behavior in AutoCAD. I don't understand why they haven't gotten that right after this many years. Quote
smorales02 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Ive seen this post on the forums before and i just dont see the major problem...what is so wrong with undo including zoom???? I guess what im trying to figure out is how does it affect your work?? Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 If you don't have undo set to group intellizoom and intellipan (Options->User Preferences) you may make a small but not easily reversed change, zoom in and out and pan to decide if it is needed, and then have to go through 20 zoom commands in undo. Its not really a problem, its an annoyance. I find the easiest way to deal with it is to; first, use a little self control and resist the urge to constantly pan and zoom; and second, utilize the undo list when you need to undo more than one or two operations. Frankly, I'd just count your lucky stars that you can undo operations performed before a save. Nothing was worse than balancing when to save while in the middle of some intricate linework, and when to leave yourself room to undo potential mistakes. And then compromising with having 2 or 3 "temp" or "working" versions of the file you were using. *shudder* Quote
Butch Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Sorry for the looooong delay :-) So theres no way of excluding viewing operation (pan&zoom) from the undo/redo? Thats an heavy sucks! Quote
wannabe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 It's quite a useful function to be able to undo/redo zoom and pan with their own buttons. This is a function available in Microstation that I use a lot. Quote
