Hi Guys,

I'm trying to flatten a architects 3D floor plan. Ive tried the "Flatten" command. This command just dont seem to work, it just seems to keep running with no progress. I wonder if the size of the building (actual dimensions) is causing this to delay the process. I let it run yesterday for about 2hrs with no progress.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt

have you tried Flatshot on the Plan?

Flatten can take some time but two hours sound like too much. You should see something happen during the proces, solids exploding and stuff. Did you try to flatten a part of the drawing? Or layer by layer?

I think flatshot is the best option you have. coz i have already tried flatshot on a 3d house.

Not a good one here but it can work if your file is a problem. Set to plan view, do a hide and print to a DXB file. Open a new drawing and insert DXB file. You might have to scale back up but your image will be flat.

Thanks for all of your help. I flattened by layer. It seemed to work the best.. guess there was to much stuff to process. Thanks for all of the help.

Ill keep that command in mind the next time i run into this type of problem. I ended up fixing it. I just had to isolate the layers and flatten one at a time. Didnt take to long but it did the job. Thanks for all of the help!
