I have a series of drawings that need to be RECOVERed. The ideal solution would be to establish why this is so but for now it is sufficient to RECOVER them. I can do this individually which works but I have also tried to recover them as a batch. I cannot get this to work.

With RECOVERAUTO set to 0 (default) it finds no errors and leaves the drawing still in need of recovery. With RECOVERAUTO set to 1 or 2 my script won't run. I am sure steady thinking may get my script running but what is the difference between RECOVER from the command line and in a script?

If RECOVERAUTO is set to "0" scripts are interrupted according to AutoCAD Help.

Have you tried setting it to "3" (suppresses the display of all notifications).

Found this. Maybe it will help?

This is wierd. I set QAFLAGS=31 and ran the following script

recover
"p:\Design_Office\India Test\RecoverHere\P1US210068-09-MD-0005-01.dwg"
resume
qsave
recover
"p:\Design_Office\India Test\RecoverHere\P1US210068-09-PD-0001-01.dwg"
resume
qsave
recover
"p:\Design_Office\India Test\RecoverHere\P1US210068-09-PD-0001-02.dwg"
resume
qsave
recover
"p:\Design_Office\India Test\RecoverHere\P1US210068-09-PD-0001-03.dwg"
resume
qsave
recover
"p:\Design_Office\India Test\RecoverHere\P1US210068-09-WD-0001-01.dwg"
resume
qsave

which changed the errors present from 299 to 435.

I ran the script a second and the errors reported started at 299 again and all were fixed!

It looks like I may have a solution but still no nearer understanding the problem. Oh well.

Move to Denver, Colorado USA. Smoke some (legal) pot. Run the script. No matter what the results are you'll still be smiling. Problem solved.
