Hi, I'm working on a drawing for class and have an issue with a title block. It works when I insert it on my first layer state, but on two of my others it only inserts the fields of the title block and the rest of it disappears. After that, when I return to my original layer state it also doesn't come in. I made sure the layer I put the title block on was turned on. Is it the title block that is messed up or did I miss something with the layer states?

It sounds like your other layer states have a layer suppressed that the titleblock needs. Open the block in the block editor and see what layer the disappearing items are on.

If the objects in the block are not on the Zero layer, it won't matter what layer you put the block on. The objects will retain the properties of the layers that they are on, and will only hide/show when those layers are frozen/thawed.

Strange, it's almost as if it got erased. It's not on the 0 layer, nor any other layer. Only the fields for the date and scale appear.

Can you post the block so we can take a look at it?

The file or just the block? And if the file, how do I? Sorry i'm new here =).

They're kind of one in the same. I don't know if you have to have a certain number of posts in order to attach a file here (10 maybe).

Hahah sorry I should have re-read that before I posted, I meant file or a picture of the block. I found out how to attach it.

First, make sure that your block is on the 0 (zero) layer. Next, the file has a block within a block (nested blocks). You don't need to do that. Everything in the block is either on the BOR or BORDER layers. Make sure that either of those layers are not frozen or off in the layer states that you're trying to use. Try that and report back to see if I need to dig further into it.

You can also post the working file that you're having trouble with.
