BoroCAD Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Hi I have 2 issues. 1) I've drawn irregular shaped viewports on a drawing layout template using the polygonal command on the Layout tab. I've drawn the viewports on a separate layer so that the layer can be frozen before printing to remove the viewport border. With the layer unfrozen it looks correct. However, when the layer is frozen the viewports appear to look like normal square viewports and obscure the other viewports in way I don't want. Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong? The shapes of the viewports can be seen in the screenshots below. 2) I'm adding text to the layout using single and multiple line text. The text is being produced under the viewports and cannot be seen. I've tried bringing the text to the front and above an object using the right-click - 'Draw Order' option but with no success. Can anyone please help? Can text be drawn over a viewport? Screenshots attached to demonstrate the issue. Cheers Quote
ReMark Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Do not freeze the layer the viewports are on. Set the option "no print" in your Layer Properties Manager instead. Quote
BoroCAD Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Thanks ReMark that sorts out the viewport issue. Cheers. Quote
ReMark Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 One down one to go. I do all my dimensioning and text in my layout atop viewports all the time. I have never lost any of it. Not sure what is happening in your case. I'll think on it. Quote
