civil3duser Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Hi everyone, I'm just trying to work with hatching and gradients in AutoCAD (2013). How would I create a "border" gradient that fades away from the perimeter of an object. For example, I've attached a rectangle that fades from orange at the perimeter to white in the middle. I'd eventually like to do this with a polyline and 2-shades of blue for a body of water. Is this possible in AutoCAD? Thanks! Quote
ReMark Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 That type of gradient is not available with a rectangular style in plain AutoCAD. Quote
JGA Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 If you have Autodesk subscription, you could use Impression, which I think could do this for you. Otherwise you'll just have to export it out to a image format, or try one of the vector packages such as CorelDRAW. Quote
civil3duser Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Ok, great thanks for the info JGA! I do like the looks of Impression 3, and I am on a subscription for Civil3D, so I think that should work. I didn't even know I had that available Cheers ! Quote
