tipu_sultane Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 When using the explode command then there is a message comes in the command line "Dimension disassociated". My question regarding this is that "are the lengths remain the same or changed?". Quote
Organic Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 The length remains the same. What it means is that if you change the geometry that your dimensions was measuring then the dimensions will no longer update. E.g. if you dimensioned a wall 10m long and then exploded the dimension, the dimension will still read 10m. if you then change the wall to be 8m long the dimension will not update anymore (as you exploded it) and will still read 10m. You should generally not explode dimensions. It is considered a 'bad' drafting practice. Quote
tipu_sultane Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 I am using the explode command because I found the diagram in block format please view the attached picture. If there is another method exists to separate the length of objects then inform me Quote
MSasu Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 You may check BEDIT command to remove something from a block. Quote
