AKwon23 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Recently, an AutoCAD file was shared with me and upon opening, I noticed all the text and room numbers were missing from the floor plan. My coworker opened the same file and she gets a pop-up window warning her of a missing .SHX file. when she follows the prompts, AutoCAD states there is a missing font file and proceeds to ask her to select a replacement. Once she replaces the font, all the text and room numbers appears. she saves the file but when I open the file, no pop-up and no text how do I get the "missing .SHX" popup window back and secondly, is there a command to replace the font while I'm in the file? this file is critical to have the room numbers as I am working with 2 other designers remotely and I don't want to waste time manually replacing the text. tzframpton Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Go to Options > System Tab > General Options > Hidden Messages Settings button. From here you can re-enable popups. Quote
