Andrew1979 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 How do I work out TAN for trigonometry in lisp? There is a cos and sin function but no tan. Thanks Quote
MSasu Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Please don't forget that trigonometrically Tangent is the report of Sine over Cosine. (defun Tan( x / ) (/ (sin x) (cos x)) ) This should work even for 90 degrees. Quote
Andrew1979 Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Ok, I'll try that, thanks for your help. I'm not the best at maths and have been using formulas on http://www.mathsisfun.com website. Really helpful. Quote
Andrew1979 Posted April 17, 2014 Author Posted April 17, 2014 Thanks Lee, some really great examples of lisp function formulas even though some are way over my head Quote
