Import DataCAD to AutoCAD

Hey guys, I have been looking around for an answer for about an hour and could not find one. So I thought why not ask here. There is a lot of smart people here so hopefully my question gets answered. My question is, it possible to import a DataCAD file into AutoCAD? We are using version AutoCAD 2006. Thanks fellas

Can you produce a .dxf file in DataCAD? AutoCAD has a DXFIN command. What file format does DataCAD use?

Datacad appears to have import/export capabilities with both .dxf and .dwg.

if you have datacad it is possible to export both a dxf file or a dwg file. But it is not possible to import a datacad (.dc5 ) file into autocad directly
