ReMark Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 If it is "off" then how could you select it? Quote
RobDraw Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 It is possible and there are probably multiple ways to do it but it is much easier to turn the layer on and then back off after the move. Quote
ReMark Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Well it does beg the question why one would want to move an object on a layer that is turned off but yes, it can be done using QSelect as one possible option. Note that although the viewport would initially be identified by its grips you couldn't use them to actually move the viewport because they disappear from your screen. Quote
RobDraw Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 How can you move a viewport with grips? Wouldn't that be stretching? Quote
ReMark Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Yes it would. Just wanted to check your reflexes. Quote
RobDraw Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Not bad, huh? Haven't even finished first cup of coffee, yet. Quote
ReMark Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Not so fast. You can move objects using grips... Quote
