Thawed xref layer not visible

I am working with a script to thaw xref layers one at a time. At first it worked well, then not only did the script not work, but now when I thaw a layer, the layer manage records the layer as thawed but nothing is visible.

Tried regen.

The weird thing is that in the layer manager the xref layer shows as thawed but there are no graphics showing in MS.

Thanks for trying but I put most of the graphics on layer 0 and then xrefed them to a particular layer in the main dwg. I have rebooted acad, I have started new dwgs., I have tried visretain. When I thaw the layers manually the graphics appear but not when I use the script I must be messing up something in the script but I don't know what.
