Object/Image/frame

0 - image not displayed or plotted

1 - Displays and plots image frame

2 - displays but does not plot image frame

This is the way I have done this command forever....however, in AutoCAD 2013, myself and others in my office have noticed that having image frame set to variable 2 does not always work anymore.

Recently, I inserted an image on 3 different drawings, all set up from same titleblock therefore same settings.

The first and third image frame was off on variable (0) but was on in drawing and visible in plot on variable (2) - which makes no sense - reverse from norm.

The second drawing worked properly and the image frame (2) = on in drawing, off in plot.

Why does this happen?

It is frustrating trying to second guess how it will work - the next time I go to print the drawing, the settings might change..these are drawings that are stamped and gone for construction...no changes are made, I just reprint as contractor asks. So no changes have been made and no one has resaved, this is a small office, I am only one with access to this discipline.

But it does happen in other departments and my coworkers have 20 years experience as well and have never seen this before......2 was always the magic number.

Does anyone have any thoughts here? A new setting I don't know about maybe?

Thanks and take care

What file format are your images? I have had this sort of trouble with .tif images in the past so I always save images to .jpg format before inserting into Autocad.

Beware that FRAME setting overrides the others.

The FRAME setting overrides the individual IMAGEFRAME, DWFFRAME, PDFFRAME, DGNFRAME, and XCLIPFRAME settings.

0 The frame is not visible and it is not plotted

1 Displays the frame and allows it to be plotted

2 Displays the frame but keeps it from being plotted

3 The individual setting varies for all underlays in the current drawing (external

references, images, and DWF, DWFx, PDF, and DGN underlays all have

different frame settings). NoteThis value is used internally by AutoCAD.
