Hi,

When I change the UCS and want to rotate or move an object the GIZMO does not follow the UCS that I use, as you can see in the image:

Thank you.

Have you tried using DYNAMIC UCS?

Have you tried using DYNAMIC UCS?

I use DYNAMIC UCS to draw on faces, but I don't know how to use it with 3d rotate :(

I am too busy to try this right now, but you might try changing your system variable UCSFOLLOW value from 0 to 1.

If that doesn't help, then you can reset it to 0 again.

I prefer 3D align over 3D rotate, and I never use dynamic UCS, I guess I'm old school and a control freak.

Hi,

How do you if you have the situation as I have? I do not know how to do it using DYNAMIC UCS :(

I have the same situation this morning and I can't continue.

What exactly are you trying to do?

I want to rotate the Elbow 45 degrees, I have changed the UCS but the GIZMO does not follow the user UCS, here is an other image:

I want to rotate on the Z axis.

I'm not a big fan of either Dynamic UCS or the GIZMO.

I'd relocate the origin of my UCS to the center of the end of the elbow where it connects to the weldneck making sure it was oriented correctly (I believe your UCS is good in that regards) then use the normal Rotate command.

Thank you ReMark , RO worked perfect

You're entirely welcomed. Glad to hear my "old school" suggestion worked for you.

Right click on the Gizmo... Align Gizmo with > Current UCS
