Harley157 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 We use AutoCad 2002 at work and have clients wanting to send Inventor 2009 drawings for us to edit. Can these drawings be imported in Autocad 2002 and what format do they have to be saved. I was told that there wasn't many options in Inventor to save files. If you know of a way to do this I would sure appreciate it. Thanks. Quote
Lazer Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Not a problem, tell the guy using Inventor to click save as and select Autocad dwg, in the dia box click options and select Autocad 2000/ Lt2000. Quote
Harley157 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Tried the "save as" Autocad dwg. Yes there is an option button, but--- it is dead. Won't open anything. I was told that other formats it would work. Quote
Safwah Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Chances are they are saving as an inventor dwg and not autocad dwg. Quote
