md2lgyk Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Hi, new here, first post. I'm having trouble with jpeg images. I insert them into my drawings (I've been putting them in model space) and then draw lines over them in paper space. But if I save and then reopen a drawing, the lines are hidden behind the jpeg. How can I fix this? Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Do a quick print preview, does it still show the lines as behind the jpeg? Quote
BOB'27T Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Just highlight the image and send it to the back of the draworder. Quote
Tiger Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Just highlight the image and send it to the back of the draworder. Just to clarify Bob, to find the draw-order-command, right-click when the image is highlighed. Quote
md2lgyk Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Just highlight the image and send it to the back of the draworder. Sorry, but I'm pretty much a beginner. How do I do that? Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Select the jpeg and then in the menue bar click Tools>Draw Order>Send to Back Quote
BOB'27T Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 You can also type in "DR" and then select the image and then it will ask what order to place it in. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks 4 memory jog bob, i'd forgot that 1. Quote
md2lgyk Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks to both of you for the info. I found that the lines do show in Plot Preview (and actually plot) even if I can't see them in the drawing. Moving the image to the back has no effect. If I close and then reopen the drawing, the lines reappear, but when I toggle between model and paper space they disappear again. Surely it's not supposed to work like that? Quote
BOB'27T Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 That's one problem I've run into myself. Try doing a regen, they should fix themselves. Quote
