castagnaccio Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Hello everyone , following this graphical representation: I was wondering if there is a method in autocad to know the orientation of the red surface inside the 3rd cube (cube nr. 1 and 2 are examples). The orientation is dip direction and dip of the surface the considering the Y axis as the Nord (see images below). Here is also the dwg file: cadtu.dwg ps: sorry for my English Quote
SEANT Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 One way would be to draw a line normal to that face. Set a UCS aligned to the face, then create a line from 0,0,0 to 0,0,100. That line can then be dimension via its angular displacement from the two pertinent directions. cadtu_withNormal.dwg Quote
