farmboypeter Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Wondering how people are aligning grid lines in paper space/layout when a partial plan view is view ported. I was always taught that you copy your view port and pull the gridline bubbles into place in the new viewport. so I have to do this in X and Y. seems like a bad way to do it. I was thinking I should create an explodeable block of the grid bubbles and scale them. then I can paste into Layout and delete the bubbles I do not need. what is your process Quote
BMXerScott Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I've done it two ways: You can just make another viewport with the grid bubbles you need (that are already in model space) & maybe a little bit of the grid line and align them with your partial plan (ALIGN SPACE may work for that). I have also drawn some grid lines in paper space that align (move them using your "nearest" and "perpendicular" O Snaps) with the grid lines in your partial plan. Both have worked with me. Quote
jarr3tt88 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 You could create your grid bubbles to be an annotative block, that way it scales automatically when placed on the correct model space scale. Quote
