I want to draw cross section of road using data in excel like chainage distance elevations etc.

7o7 this has been asked for so many times, a cross section consists of chainage offset & level so excel would be

The only hard bit is the cross section spacing, row line spacing spacing and getting it all to work at scale. I would go the easy way first and just work from a CSV file. Then look at the individual components, draw vertical lines, draw surface line, draw horizontal lines. A extra bit to this is to draw a alignment and then read all the values and create line work you add a 4th excel column which is description.

Last comment pretty sure this may exist in some of the free civil software out there.
