Conn07 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hey all. I've completed my drawing already and was wondering if it's possible to change the surftabs to all my existing curve (3D objects)? I really don't want to redraw them again... Thanks Quote
Cad64 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 You need to set your Surftab variables before creating your surfaces. I don't know of any way to change the surface density afterwards. I've moved your question to the "3D Modeling and Rendering" section. Quote
Conn07 Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Ok, I used the Revolve command (icon, Autocad 2008, it looks great in Autocad (when rendered), but when I open it in 3D Max it's real bad and when I render it the same. Quote
Cad64 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Take a look at these threads: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24791 http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=21469 Quote
Conn07 Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Nope, doesn't help, but thanks, I do appreciate the effort. Quote
shift1313 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 can you use turbo smooth in 3ds max to smooth out your surface. As far as i know there isnt a way in cad to go back and change the actual mesh, but after you created your surfaces your defining curves are still there(unless you got rid of them) so you would have to redraw them, just reselect them. Conn07 Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Thanks, I did try that, but it creates deformities. I'll work with what I have, it's background anyway. Thanks all for the help. Quote
