MrTapir Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I received a drawing file from a colleague which had a number of xrefs in. I wanted to bind them all together and xplode the whole lot to make one drawing made up of many lines. However one of the xrefs in the list is 'not found' (at the bottom of the xref dialog box it says 'nested reference selected: cannot change path, name or type). I cannot delete or detach or anything, which means that I cannot bind the final xref. How can i get out of this one? I dont need the one that isnt found but i really need to be able to bind the one that I can't bind. Quote
guran Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 This xref is probably a xref in any of the other XREF´s Quote
RobDraw Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (at the bottom of the xref dialog box it says 'nested reference selected: cannot change path, name or type) That means that one of the other XREFs is referencing it. You need to go into the XREF file that has it as a reference and bind or detach the from there. Save the file and the reload it in the base file. You should be able to bind it. Quote
MrTapir Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Thanks guys, exactly it. Its all sorted now. Quote
sballa79 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Another approach, All else fails use CLASSICXREF Command, It is a little more primitive but allows you to unload the file under the list view (F3). Quote
