davidpalevich
I need to make a rectangular viewport a polygonal one but I'm not sure how to use the clip tool. I also need to scale to be the same as the rectangular viewport and be able to see the same amount of drawing.
RobDraw
Draw your polygon on the same layer as the viewport and place it over the area that you want to see. Right click on the viewport and select Viewport Clip. Then the command line will prompt you to select the clipping object. Select it. Bam! nestly
Hover over the VPCLIP tool and press "F1" and/or type VPCLIP into the Help search box in the AutoCAD title bar. The instructions are pretty straight forward. Regarding the viewport scale, use the Annotative scale box in the lower right in the AutoCAD status bar.
