Akitirija
I am making a table whose legs are supposed to be 350 mm away from the edge, no matter the length of the table. Surprisingly, I am having huge difficulties meeting this construction demand. One thing that I tried was using Insert Components -> New Part, and then just sketch a circle on the table, where the circle's center was fixed on a construction line 350 mm away from the edge, and this worked for one leg, but for some strange reason not for the other... Attached are my assembly and the sketch. I hope someone can give me some useful hints here! (By the way, I am playing with the thought of making a new virtual part to solve this, but I should not have to do this, or...?) JD Mather
First of all, an assembly file (*.sldasm) is nothing more than a list of hyperlinks to part (*.sldprt) files and a record of assembly constraints. An assembly without parts is useless.. Simply add a Mate with 350mm offset constraint. Done!
