musyas Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 if you have a 2 square=100x100, the first square is 1:100 scale, and the last one is 1:30 scale, of course you have to scale the last object into 1:30 scale, and the "dimlin" was changed, my question is what should i do to turn back the same dimension linear w/o changing the scale of the object. Draw your 100x100 square in model space. Create a Layout & within that layout create 2 Viewports. 1 Viewport will be scaled 1:100 The 2nd Viewport will be scaled 1:30 You can dimension your square in MS or PS, your preference. musyas Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 @brooklyn I tried that.. But if you check the "dimlinear" of the square w/ 1:30 scale, it will changed. So my question is what you have to do if you want it to be 100x100 dimension linear? PS: my english is suck Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 You can change the scale of your dimensions by modifying the dim scale linear in Properties under Primary Units heading I believe. The most worthwhile solution is to always draw full scale in model space as mentioned above. 09's out of the box settings should scale the measurement automatically based on the viewport settings, However you'll either need to create a dimension style with your arrows and dimension line offsets, text, etc. full scale (3-4mm for example) or Change the Dim Scale field (Properties again, under Fit) to size it that wasy. totzky Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I envy you for having the latest version of Autocad! Old solution for old problem: Command: DOV DIMOVERRIDE Dimension variable to override (or Clear to remove overrides): DIMLFAC Current value New value: 30 Dimension variable to override: Select objects: 1 found Select objects: Quote
