GemmaEBaird
Hi When I render I'm just getting a black screen in the dialogue box. What and I doing wrong ? Thank you Update - now I'm not getting a dialogue box and nothing happens after the timer finishes ???
lrm
Do you mean render window and not dialog box? Give the RPREF command and check that Procedure = view, Destination = Window. What are you using for lighting?
GemmaEBaird
Yes - rendering window - sorry Where do I find those in there ?
Cad64
Have you tried looking? Both "Procedure" and "Destination" are at the very top of the Advanced Render Settings palette, after you initiate the RPREF command. Also, you did not answer Irm's question. What are you using for lights?
GemmaEBaird
Thank you - but I don't have a advanced Render tab ?

Cad64
Thank you - but I don't have a advanced Render tab ? Did you type RPREF at the command line? If so, what happened? Was there an error message?

GemmaEBaird
Sorry - I've been trying to upload a screenshot but it's refusing to let me
Cad64
You get Options when you type RPREF? So what happens when you type OPTIONS? It sounds like someone customized the pgp file and changed the command aliases for some reason. Are you working on your computer with your copy of Autocad? GemmaEBaird
I am - and I haven't customized anything. I can do 2D CAD till the cows come home ( 10 years now ) but I've always used it as it comes. 3D is shiny and new to me I get options as well when I type OPTIONS ?? Cad64
Try typing RPR and see what happens. If that doesn't work, go to the ribbon, click on the View tab and then click the button that looks like a little teapot, next to "Materials Browser". If that doesn't work, you will need to modify your pgp file.
