Craig_McAdams Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I am working in AutoCAD 2008, and have begun having trouble switching from plan view to 3d. In plan everything is fine, drawing limits are set fine, when I switch to 3d, drawing extents get huge, and I am zoomed miles from my drawing. What variable do I need to look at to fix this problem? rkent Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Unfortunately AutoCAD always zooms extents when doing that and you must have something a long ways from your model. While you can view the model do an erase, all, remove, crossing window around the model. Now try again. Also, once you get to a 3D view you like, use View command and save it with a unique name. That will keep the zoom extents from occuring. Quote
smorales02 Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 something in your model probably has a crazy z elevation which is why in 3d view you get the model zoomed so far away and not in plan view..... Quote
