psyfr3ak Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 hello, i have some digital maps who are georeferenciated. for every tiff file i have also a .tfw file with the coordonates. how can i open the maps and join them in autocad 2008? without using autocad overlay. thanks. Quote
CADTutor Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 The TFW files aren't much use to plain AutoCAD, they are intended for use in full GIS applications. I normally deal with this situation by working out the coordinate of the lower left corner of the raster map and insert it at that location in the drawing. Then scale the raster map using the Scale Reference option using the known width of the map as the target value. Quote
lpseifert Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Download GoeRefImg.vlx from here, it may do what you need. http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=4540 Quote
