Jule Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 While working with AutoCad 2007 I have a 2D file which accidently has some 3D elements. Now, while drawing, sometimes I can not trim lines or get the correct dimension since I am drawing in the third dimension. Is there a task which binds everything again into one level? Quote

LifeoRiley0 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 1 min can you use .LSIP routines on your machine? The only thing I know about LISP's is that you might need a speech coach if you have one! Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 LOL Try this. this code http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2019 (written by Eduad Smoljanka) instead Express Tools flatten. Copy the code into notepad, and save as "flat.LSP" To use. 1. Go TOOLS>LOAD APPLICATION 2. Locate where you've saved it, click on it, and click LOAD. Type "flat" into command bar. And hopefully that will have done the trick Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Skips, Thanks, It works great for standard 3D objects but we are starting to get dwgs. with door and wall assemblies in 3D that can't be exploded and the flatten lisp didn't work on. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 That's got me stumped then,my 3d knowlegde is very limited - sorry. Hope someone with more brains than me can help. as i say i'm sorry i can't be of any more help. Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Not at all.... Today I learned how to load a lisp due to your efforts. These wall assemblies are becoming more and more frequent and are of no benefit to us. They just increase the file size and when exploded we lose certain elements in plan view such as door swings and sections of walls. Thanks again Quote
