Hsanon Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Hi another drafting timesaver will be if there could be a routine to number the treads in a staircase automatically... i've seen it in revit .... it will be such a pleasure to have it in 2D autocad.... in plan and section thanks. Quote
steven-g Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Here's one we got going last year http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?88773-Dynamic-block-Array-numbering& Quote
Glen1980 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I use Lee Mac's NumInc LISP. It won't do it autmatically but you can select text position, which number to start on and what increments you want. Basically asfter you start everywhere you click the number is placed and moves up by the increment you set. http://www.lee-mac.com/numinc.html FYI the Revit one only works for some stairs not all. I doubt that AutoCAD can do that with maybe the exception of AutoCAD Architecture or stair building programmes that create the stairs and annotation. Quote
Lee Mac Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Many thanks for the recommendation Glen Since the stairs are presumably equispaced, you could also try my Incremental Array application. Quote
Hsanon Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 thanks for your help guys.... I will probably be going for Lee mac's incremental array option but all the other programs suggested were fantastic.... was wondering, in steven-g's suggestion above, would it be possible to have incremental numbers in the block attribute ??? its static when i see it ... and, could it be centered in the circles ?? thank you all so much..... you Gods Quote
steven-g Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 What do you mean by static? did you do a regen. It uses a nested block and the attribute inside the second block can be placed anywhere (moving it requires that you attsync the block from inside the first block). Quote
Hsanon Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 you are correct.... the numbers do get incremental.... thank you. but any way to get them within the circle ??? thanks Quote
steven-g Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Like this? just alter the block called "C" Counter (1).dwg Quote
Hsanon Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 thanks a lot chief..... ****** appreciation ******** Quote
