Annotate/label polylines with their object data

Hello,

 

I am using Autocad Map 3D 2006.

 

In my drawing i have a road network, each polyline has object data (speed, name etc). I want to create annotation/labels for each polyline to display in the map from the object data. At the moment i am having to select the polyline, viewing the OD in the properties and then manually creating a label (ie mtext, entering the values myself).

 

I figure there must be a way to automatically create labels for my polylines from their object data.
