IlikeCAD
Good evening all, I have been drawing a 3D part and I needed a how right through it in a previous session. I draw a circle on a face extruded it through the part and subtracted the cylinder that I made to create a hole through the part. The issue is is that I have made the whole in the wrong place. I tried drawing a circle over the hole but when I try and select it all the geometry is treated as one. You can probably tell that I am clueless when it comes to AutoCAD I am just trying to practice as I have the software. Many thanks for any help that any one can give. All the best Steve
nestly
Try CTRL+Click on the face you want to move (the inside of the hole) This is know as SUBOBJECTSELECTION and with a few exceptions, you should be able to move or delete the subobject pretty much as you can other objects. also SOLIDEDIT > FACE > Move
ReMark
And if you have trouble with the Move Face command you could always just fill in the hole you made with a cylinder and union the two then create a new hole. Not as efficient but doable.

I tried what you suggested and now I have one hole in the right place but the circle that I had originally drawn remains. I now have another problem I will post details in a fresh post. Many thanks Steve
IlikeCAD
Hi ReMark, Thank you for your msg. What you say is a good idea I think I will try that in a practise drawing. Many thanks Steve
