Good day,

Is there away on ACad LT, that can tell you what the length of an ellipse is?

What we need to do is take a half ellipse and divide it in equal length segments along the ellipse line.

Any advice on this, will be appreciated.

How about the divide command

Hi Steven-g,

Thank you!! We divided the halve ellipse in 3 and use the 3 point arc command. We calculate each arc's length, there is our answer. Jippy! :D

Do you have the command Lengthen?

if so, then start the command and click on your half ellipse. The current length is displayed.

I figured it was the dividing part that was more of interest, but if you really need the length, you could also look at setting pellipse=1 and redraw the ellipe, which will draw your ellipse as a polyline.
