deanby7 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I have written a Lisp routine that draws various hatch styles between two polylines to UK Department for Transport Signs Manual Chapter 5 Diagram 1040 dimensions. It can also produce chevrons (by applying the routine twice). I've also added the option to draw construction lines for the motorway standard chevrons. A few steps of editing are necessary but it is reasonably quick to do. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have a .fas file for trial. We reviewed various software packages at work for drawing road markings and they were coming in at around £1k !! The only things we needed were the ghost island hatch and zig-zag generators. Done the hatch. Working on a zebra layout creator now!! Quote
BIGAL Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Post a image etc so we can see what you are creating. Are you looking at selling hence FAS file ? I have a couple of linework routines also but just found trying to get the guys to use was hard. Do you have all the signs? Here in AUS we have a product called HFS fonts which uses True type fonts. deanby7 Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 I have a small 1mb video of the hatch generator. I'm not sure I can upload it. The routine took me some time to write so I wouldn't mind gaining some pennies for it! We have a program called signplot for our signs, so that is covered. Quote
deanby7 Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 Here are some screen grabs. Video wouldn't upload. Quote
