How do I change the font in the geometric symbol dialog box from letters to tolerance symbols for 2000i autocad?

if you are referring to "±" you can do this by typing %%P

Fonts can be changed using the Style command. Take a look at a font named GDT.

 

 

GDT font output.

Output in white box (at top) generated without the use of the SHIFT key.

Output in the red box generated with the use of the SHIFT key.

I started at the top of the keyboard and worked my way down going from left to right.

Can you post some screen captures of what you are seeing?

 

Are you saying there are letters rather than GDT symbols in this dialog box or the resulting qleader.

Been there, fixed that. The below is from Autodesk.

 

From further research, it appears that one of the AutoCAD standard fonts (GDT) is missing in your system. This font is used for the TOLERANCE dialog box. The resolution to this is to run a Repair on the program. It would be my suggestion to export your custom settings so that you would not have to rebuild them from scratch. The process is as follows:

 

Export Custom Settings:

- Click Start

- Click All Programs

- Click Autodsk

- Click AutoCAD Mechanical 2014

- Click Migrate Custom Settings

- Click Export Settings

 

Repair Installation:

- Click Start

- Click Control Panel

- Click Uninstall a Program

- Click AutoCAD Mechanical 2014

- Click Uninstall / Change

- Click Repair in the AutoCAD Mechanical Dialog box and follow the command prompts. Once complete I suggest that you restart the workstation in question.

 

Once completed, I suggest testing the program prior to importing the custom settings. If the TOLERANCE dialog box functions as designed, then I would suggest importing the settings. This can be done by the same process as the Export, just click Import Settings.
