Fullalove Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Is it possible to create a surface from a series of 3D polylines? I've drawn out a vertical rectangle, created a surface and am able to add the polylines as contour lines, but the surface does not appear? Any thoughts? Quote
Fullalove Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 Note: I'm using Civil 3D '09 Quote
Fullalove Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 I'm also trying to create a vertical surface. Quote
rustysilo Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 If a terrain surface then yes, you can use 3d polylines. Just be sure elevational values are properly applied to said 3d poly's. Then add to your surface as breaklines. If nothing shows up then check your surface style to be sure the display is set to ON for whichever objects you want to see (ie - triangles, contours, etc.). I have been told several times that the program doesn't like 100% vertical grades and the instruction was to just barely change the grade so it's not quite vertical. Quote
