Ashishs Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I am not sure if this is a Bug in the program or if there is a setting that needs adjusting. Below is an image of my problem. All most in the middle of the screen it shows a file path of the drawing drawing that is open, and it stays there and never moves when panning/zooming or even when i have a dialog box open its always on top of it. I tried google searching but just couldn't find an answer. Does anyone here have an ideas? Quote
ReMark Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 The tab for the drawing that is open has the four digit number 0501 while the on-screen reference has the four digit number 0300. So, how can it be the file path of the drawing that is open? Could it have anything to do with a missing xref? Quote
Ashishs Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 No it also shows sometimes from the same open drawing path. See below image taken today. It happens randomly. Quote
ReMark Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Are you using xrefs? Are you using AutoDesk Vault? What is the source for the original drawing? Quote
Tiger Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 first thing that came to mind: a graphic glitch. Have you updated your drivers for the graphic card? How are your 3D Performance settings? Quote
RobDraw Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I think Tiger may be right. It looks like a stuck pop-up from say an open drawing dialog. Missing XREF paths don't have the background colored. Quote
rkmcswain Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Agree with @Tiger too. This smells like a video problem. Quote
Ashishs Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Attached is the screenshot of graphics performance settings. I tried to switch hardware acceleration off but file path is still displayed. Sometimes from the previously opened drawing files. Quote
Dadgad Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 In your screenshot, Hardware Acceleration is still turned on. Try turning it OFF, then you must click OK at the bottom of the dialog box. Quote
ReMark Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 What else have you done to troubleshoot the problem? Have you tested this drawing on another computer? Is this the only drawing that seems to suffer this mysterious affliction? What is the source of the drawing? What program was used to create the original drawing? Is any other add-on program being used? Have you tried a REPAIR of the installation? Quote
RobDraw Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 It looks like your driver needs updating. A quick check and it looks like the current version is 14.501.1003. Why haven't you updated it as Tiger suggested? Quote
Ashishs Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 I checked turning hardware acceleration off and restarted AutoCAD. But still problem appears. Note that I was never having this problem before with AutoCAD 2015 x64 on same pc with same graphics card. Have you tested this drawing on another computer? - Yes other don't have this issue as they have AutoCAD2015 x64 version. Is this the only drawing that seems to suffer this mysterious affliction? - No it happens randomly with any drawing. What is the source of the drawing? - from consultants office (from AutoCAD) What program was used to create the original drawing? - I believe AutoCAD before once drawing opened gives this message "Autodesk DWG. This file is a TrustedDWG last saved by an Autodesk application or Autodesk licensed application." Is any other add-on program being used? - Nope Have you tried a REPAIR of the installation? -Yes I did reinstalled it, but still shows path on screen. Quote
Ashishs Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Yes, I tried but there is no update available. Check screenshot below. Quote
ReMark Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Are you on a network and does your company use AutoCAD Vault? Quote
rkmcswain Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 None of the Radeon cards are supported, correct? http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/syscert?id=18844534&siteID=123112 The 5450 is a $30 adapter, I would expect issues like this. Quote
RobDraw Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Yes, I tried but there is no update available. Sometimes you need to go to the manufacturer's website and get it directly from there. It might not help, though. Quote
rkent Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I would dock the command line and see if that makes it go away. Quote
Cad64 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 If it were me, I would just go back to using 2015 until a service pack pops up for 2016. I typically don't even install new versions until there is at least one service pack available. Quote
