tjjackson Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Stefan, Do you have any thoughts on how to automate the acute line angle where the polylines intersect? I don't want to wear out my welcome, but this is the last piece of the puzzle to complete our automated drawing procedure. Quote
Stefan BMR Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Right now, I don't have a solution. In your sample, there are some 3-lines intersections and for me is difficult to decide which angle should be measured. I admit I didn't even tried to solve it and, most probably, I will not. Sorry. Quote
tjjackson Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 No problem. Thank you for all of your help. Quote
BIGAL Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 My $0.05 worth if you look at the CIv3d point import method of bringing strings in it may be possible to do what you want in one go after all it has already worked out the stringing smarts for you this is what a field survey crew would do everyday and its 3d. This is from a points based file using string coding join like. With our guys almost no editing. Quote
