Combining .PDF files

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding software to combine multiple .PDFs without resorting to Adobe Acrobat/Acrobat Pro? Source files are typically generated from multiple sources ie AutoCAD, Word, Excel etc.

Maybe what you are looking for is something like PDFMerge or something similar.
