Wojciech Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Hi, I have problem how to show balloon like this: in AutoCAD 2005. In the work some people have Autocad 2005. But I am using Autocad 2014. Balloon created on my AutoCAD do not display in AutoCAD 2005. I do not want every time explode my balloons to be able to display them in an earlier version of AutoCAD. Is it possible to somehow make balloons displayed in the AutoCAD 2005 without exploding balloons in a newer version of AutoCAD (for example, as a block)? Can I have something set in AutoCAD 2005? Or maybe a some LISP? Quote
ReMark Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 There are numerous balloon lisp routines available. A simple Internet search should pull up a number of them. For starters you can try over at Cadalyst magazine in their Tips & Tricks section where the majority of their custom lisp routines are kept. There is a search function available. Quote
RobDraw Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I don't see a balloon there. That looks like a leader to me and that would be set-up in the dimstyle. Could this be you are using multi-leaders and 2005 does not recognize them? A common misconception when working across different versions is that people think that all you have to do is "save as" to the previous version. This is not always enough. If you are utilizing newer objects, the previous version is not going to recognized them and doing a "save as" does not convert them to simpler objects. You have to either "export" rather than "save as", or avoid using the newer types of objects. When opening a file from a newer version, AutoCAD warns you of this unless the notification(s) has been turned off. Quote
Wojciech Posted September 10, 2015 Author Posted September 10, 2015 (edited) RobDraw you have right, it is a multi-leader and AutoCAD 2005 does not recognize it. I feel that there is no good solution. Or maybe i have to try to make something like this: Thank you. Edited September 10, 2015 by Wojciech Quote
