muck Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 When I open/close a single drawing AutoCAD 2009 takes a long time. When a multiple drawings loaded in CAD it does not take so long to close a drawings until CAD is left with a single drawing. At that time it takes a long time to save it. Does anyone have this problem. Is there a solution other than keeping a second open all the time. Thank You Quote
wannabe Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 don't have this problem; don't use 2009!!! But.....do you have all the service packs? Quote
muck Posted December 24, 2008 Author Posted December 24, 2008 It happening a work computer which uses 2009 so I don't have any control on what version I use. They have updated with service packs but I don't know which ones. Just looking for an answer why it would be doing that. I don't like running AutoCAD with two drawings when I am only working on one. Thank you, Quote
ReMark Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Look in the Useful Links forum for a thread I put in a short while ago. It's called Open Close Save Hotfix for AutoCAD 2009. Perhaps it might be of some use to you. Quote
rgarjr Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I used to have that problem when I had Vista installed, it would hang when you close the program. Now I have XP PRO and dont have that problem. Quote
Noahma Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I have 09 installed on my vista machine, and it does not have that problem. I suggest the patches and then see if it is still doing it. Quote
LifeoRiley0 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I also have 09 on Vista and mine only hangs for 5-6 seconds before it closes. Quote
Tankman Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Look in the Useful Links forum for a thread I put in a short while ago. It's called Open Close Save Hotfix for AutoCAD 2009. Perhaps it might be of some use to you. Used the '07 Hotfix from AutoDesk. Before the fix, took a long time to close *.dwg files. Quote
